About WeaveWords

WeaveWords is a vocabulary app for language learners. You add a word, and it fills in a translation, an example sentence and pronunciation, then schedules reviews with spaced repetition so the word ends up in long-term memory.

Why we built it

Spaced repetition is one of the best-studied ways to remember what you learn, and flashcard apps like Anki proved it works. But building good vocabulary cards by hand is slow, and most people give up long before the method pays off. WeaveWords keeps the proven part, scheduling, and automates the tedious part, making the cards.

Why SM-2

Reviews are scheduled with SM-2, the algorithm Anki was built on. It's simple, published and predictable: words you find hard come back sooner, words you know well are spaced further apart. You can see exactly how it works in our free SM-2 calculator.

What's free

Unlimited collections, SM-2 reviews and progress tracking are free on the web and Android, with an iOS app on the way. An optional Pro subscription adds AI-generated images, two extra practice modes, advanced statistics and hands-free Audio Learning on mobile.

Languages

You can learn English, German, Spanish, French, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian, with translations into 15 native languages. The app itself is available in 21 languages, and this site in 8.

Your data

Your vocabulary belongs to you. Our privacy policy explains what we store and why, and you can delete your account and data at any time.
